Charlie later joined Manchester City in 2011 as part of the club’s elite development structure, where he continues to contribute to academy player development and talent identification. In 2013, he was invited to assist the Scottish Football Association in developing performance coaches and aspiring international players through the application of Matrix training principles.
In addition to his professional academy work, Charlie co-founded Matrix Soccer Academy in 2006 alongside entrepreneur Tahir Khan with the goal of reshaping player development from grassroots through the professional ranks. Through Matrix, he has influenced players who have progressed into professional academies, international pathways, and senior football environments across multiple countries.
